Let's be real. We all have those times where we go into our closet and see TONS of clothes but find nothing to wear! You know you have clothes in there just collecting dust, but for some reason, you can't seem to part with them. You've got drawers filled with mismatched socks that is beyond overwhelming.
Alright girl let's get your organized and decluttered! Because it's good for the soul!
-Think about what you want to keep, not what you want to throw away. Don't just set a goal to get rid of X amount of clothes. Because the goal doesn't set value to the total.
-Have you heard of Marie Kondo? Alright well if not, here's the best takeaway. Find what sparks JOY and that's what you keep. If you just get that "indifferent" feeling about it, it goes in the declutter pile.
-Make a pile. Yes, take EVERYTHING out of your closet and put it in a giant pile. Then go through each piece one by one. Does it spark joy or not?
-Use it or lose it. If you haven't worn it in 6 months, lose it! When you hang things back up in your closet, hang them backwards. Once you wear them, turn it around. In six months, the things that are still backwards need to take a hike.
Once you've decluttered, it's time to find them a new home. Can you sell it on Poshmark? Can it be donated? Does a friend want it? Or does it just flat out belong in the big trash can?
Good luck babes!
